Preston Linn is an experienced professional specializing in the intersection of industrial and academic collaboration within the biomedical engineering sector. Currently serving as the Industry Academic Coordinator for the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at UNC and NC State since April 2015, Preston focuses on fostering partnerships between industrial and academic communities. Additionally, Preston co-founded NIRvana Sciences in April 2011, which develops proprietary Near IR Fluorescence Dyes for clinical diagnostics, and serves as an Executive in Residence at the First Flight Venture Center. With a background that includes roles such as VP of Alliances at Advanced Animal Diagnostics and Alliance Manager at BD Technologies, Preston has contributed significantly to various organizations, including participating as a member of Rotary International and RTP Capital Associates. Preston holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
