Paula Willey serves as the Senior Manager of Collection & Project Development at First Book, a position held since May 2022. Concurrently, Paula is a Co-Author of "The Passive Programming Playbook: 101 Ways to Get Library Customers Off the Sidelines" with ABC-CLIO and contributes as a Freelance Writer for School Library Journal since 2008. Previous roles include Manager at Enoch Pratt Free Library & Maryland State Library Resource Center and various librarian positions at BCPL and The Baltimore Sun. Paula's expertise includes collection development, customer service, and children's literature advocacy. Educational credentials include a Master of Library Science from Pratt Institute and a Master's Certificate in Museum Studies from New York University, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University in Anthropology, Classics, and Art History.
