Nathan Britton is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in systems engineering and project management across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Systems Engineering at Firefly Aerospace since July 2023, Nathan previously held the same title at Spaceflight Inc. from October 2022 to July 2023. At Tethers Unlimited, Inc., Nathan served as Controls & Systems Engineering Manager from October 2016 to October 2022, overseeing the creation of the systems engineering department and leading cradle-to-grave development efforts. Nathan's earlier roles include Robotics Program Manager and Aerospace Systems Engineer at Tethers Unlimited, Engineering Manager at ispace, inc., and research-focused positions at Tohoku University. Nathan holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Tohoku University, a Master’s in Space Studies from the International Space University, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Information and Computer Sciences and Japanese from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
