David Heffley is a seasoned aerospace engineering professional with extensive experience in propulsion and test operations. Currently serving as Propulsion Manager at Firefly Aerospace since May 2023, David previously held various leadership roles at SpaceX from September 2006 to January 2022, including Director of Reliability, Site Director of Texas Test Operations, and Manager of F9 Components and Reusibility Operations. David began their career at SpaceX as an intern in Test Operations, progressing through several engineering and managerial positions. David earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Baylor University between 2004 and 2007.
