Torrin Hona has extensive experience in emergency management and disability advocacy, currently serving as a Senior Disability Advisor at Fire and Emergency NZ since 2008, where responsibilities include fire risk management, providing advice for people with disabilities, and facilitating workshops on disability education and community safety. Additional roles include membership on the Whangarei District Council Disability Advisory Group and participation with various organizations such as the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust and the International Association of Emergency Managers. Torrin has held numerous volunteer positions focused on community safety and disability strategy, and has a background in administrative support within health services. Education includes a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management from Auckland University of Technology and multiple engagements in disability advocacy.
