Karunanithi Kathiresan has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 2002. Karunanithi started as a Senior Design Engineer at Banyan Networks (Midas Communication Technologies) where they worked on concept, design, implementation, testing, compliance testing, field trial and pilot-production support. In 2006, they moved to MindTree as a Lead Product Engineer, where they lead the development of first pass silicon boards, engineering prototype designs and test rigs for 3 generations of HD Video Processor chipsets. From 2010 to 2012, they worked at HCL Technologies as an Associate Technical Manager in the Telecom Products group, where they worked on a high availability Optical Transport network in a restricted form-factor. In 2012, they joined Cognizant Technology Solutions as an Associate Director in Digital & Mobile, where they built effective business solutions utilizing the latest technologies. In 2018, they moved to Sympl Foods as Co-Founder, where they founded the company to change the way consumers buy ethnic groceries and to meet the needs of a growing, affluent, under-served consumer segment. That same year, they also joined Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd (LTI) as an Account Director. In 2019, they moved to Altimetrik as a Partner - East Coast. Most recently in 2021, they joined Finzly as Vice President of Sales and Director of Product Marketing.

Karunanithi Kathiresan completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics and Communication from the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore between 1998 and 2002. Subsequently, they obtained a Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) in Marketing and Finance from the Indian School of Business between 2011 and 2012.
