Jaakko Schildt is an accomplished aviation executive with extensive experience in operational leadership and technical management. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and Interim CEO at Finnair since August 2016, Jaakko also holds positions as Board Member at Pirkanmaan Osuuskauppa and Kallioinen Yhtiöt Oy, and Chairman of the Board at Nordic Regional Airlines Oy. Previous roles include MD Operations at Thomas Cook Airlines UK ltd and Head of Group Maintenance Organisation, as well as Vice President of Technical and Operational Maintenance at Finnair. Jaakko's earlier experience includes key positions at Blue1 and Scandinavian Airlines International. Jaakko holds an MBA from Swansea University and engineering degrees from Häme Polytechnics and the Helsinki Institute of Technology.
