Marina Pilz da Cunha

Marina Pilz da Cunha has had a varied career, beginning in 2012 as an Intern at PETROBRAS PETROLEO BRASILEIRO SA. In 2013, they were a Research Assistant at Universidade do Porto, as well as a Private Tutor for International Baccalaureate Mathematics and Chemistry. In 2015, they completed a Master Thesis Project at Merck Group, developing smart switchable windows based on liquid crystal systems. In 2016, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at QUT (Queensland University of Technology). From 2017 to 2021, they were a PhD candidate at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, developing smart polymers. Currently, they are a Lead Technology and Innovation Scout and a Technology & Innovation Scout at Findestā„¢, with a focus on accelerating clients' R&D and innovation processes.

Marina Pilz da Cunha attended United World College Maastricht from 2004 to 2011, where they completed their high school studies. Marina then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology from 2011 to 2014. In 2013, they completed a Bachelor Project at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto in the same field. Marina then returned to Eindhoven University of Technology to obtain their Masterā€™s Degree in Chemical Engineering from 2014 to 2016, and eventually their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from 2017 to 2020.
