Johan Steimes has a wide range of work experience. From 2019 to present, they have been working as Head of Technology and Innovation Scouting, Technology Scouting Lead, and Technology Scout for Findest™. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Research Associate at Technische Universiteit Delft. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Research Associate at Université libre de Bruxelles, where they were responsible for coordinating and researching several projects. From 2008 to 2014, they were a Research Engineer and Teaching Assistant at Université libre de Bruxelles, where they published technical papers and supervised student projects.

Johan Steimes completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) from the Université libre de Bruxelles in 2006, a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering from the same university in 2008, and a Phd in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering from the Université libre de Bruxelles in 2013.
