Katrina Hayes has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Katrina started their career as a Policy Officer at the Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services & Indigenous Affairs in 2010 and worked there until 2012. From 2012 to 2013, they served as a Policy Officer & Office Manager at the Federation of Ethnic Communities' Councils of Australia (FECCA). In 2013, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at I.E.S. Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer. Katrina then joined The Australian National University in 2014 as a Linguistic Research Project Manager, where they managed a large sociolinguistic research project. Katrina also worked as a Tutor in Spanish during their time at the university. In 2018, Katrina began their career in the tech industry, first attending the General Assembly's Web Development Immersive program and later joining Finder as a Software Engineer. Katrina quickly grew within the company and currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer.
Katrina Hayes' education history begins with their Bachelor's degree in Arts (Languages) from the University of Sydney, which they pursued from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they obtained a Master's degree in Translation from The Australian National University, where they studied from 2011 to 2013. In 2015, Hayes earned a Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language (Level C1) from Instituto Cervantes. Later in 2018, they attended General Assembly and completed a Web Development Immersive program.
