Walid A. Anwar currently serves as a Financial Regulatory Authority Advisor at the Financial Regulatory Authority FRA since December 2024. Prior roles include SMEs Business Director and Head of Credit Sales at Contact Leasing, as well as positions at Contact Financial Holding, where responsibilities spanned Group Regional Manager and Deputy Credit & Risk Regional Manager. Walid's extensive experience also includes senior roles at the Ministry of Interior of Egypt, leading operations and security management from 2013 to 2019, and serving as Chief Security Advisor for the League of Arab States. Additional experience includes operational leadership for the United Nations and tactical management in special operations with the Ministry of Interior. Academically, Walid holds multiple MBA degrees from Cardiff Metropolitan University and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and a Bachelor of Law from the Police Academy of Egypt.
