Nigel Slater is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in designing and integrating mechanical and electrical systems, especially in the hydroponics industry. Currently serving as Mechanical Engineer II at Re:Build Fikst since October 2024, Nigel previously held roles at Freight Farms, progressing from Systems Engineer II to Senior System Engineer. Responsibilities included overseeing the development lifecycle of innovative agricultural systems and leading product development as a Research Engineer. Early career experiences as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Flex and a co-op at Boston Scientific further established expertise in prototyping, testing, and design validation. Nigel holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.
