Andrew Thompson is the current advisor at FIGUR8. Andrew has over three decades of experience in the healthcare industry, starting their career as an industrial trainee at Metal Box PLC in 1980. After a two-year stint there, they became a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton for two years before moving on to become a healthcare consultant at Mayfield Fund from January 1989 to June 1991.

In 1991, they co-founded CardioRhythm, where they served as the chief financial officer until the company was acquired by Medtronic in 1994. Andrew then became president and CEO of FemRx, which was acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 1999. From 2003 to 2020, they were president and CEO of Proteus Digital Health, which was acquired by Otsuka Pharmaceuticals. Andrew has also served as chairman of the board of Kistler-Morse, which was acquired by Danaher in 1995.

Andrew Thompson has a Master of Arts in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and a Master of Arts in Education from Stanford University.
