Free Wortley is a seasoned security engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in application security. Currently serving as a Staff Security Engineer at Figma since April 2024, Free previously founded and led LunaSec, a VC-backed startup focused on enhancing application security through open-source tools, from May 2019 to April 2024. Prior roles include Security Engineer at Snap Inc. and Application Security Engineer at Uber, where involvement spanned multiple teams during a period of rapid growth. Free's foundation in software development includes positions as Lead Developer at Freecon Galactic, Software Engineer at Airware, and various consulting roles that emphasize web design and application maintenance. Free is an alumnus of Y Combinator, having participated in the program from April to August 2019.
