John Blackwood is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in systems administration, security, and infrastructure management. Currently serving as a Senior Systems Administrator at Field Effect Software since March 2020, John manages a global operational network and systems across 2500 installations. Prior to this, John held significant leadership roles, including President of NXOR Corp, where the focus was on IT consulting for Linux and Unix servers. Experience also includes tenure at Lixar IT as a Senior Security & Infrastructure Administrator and at KAI Innovations as CTO, integrating automation technology. Educational qualifications include an Engineering degree in Software from Carleton University and an Advanced Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology from Algonquin College. Additionally, John has contributed to volunteer efforts at Nepean Sailing Club and served in research roles that emphasized security analysis and project management.
