Job description

FiberFirst is looking for an ambitious and energetic Community Brand Specialist in Georgetown, TX to drive brand awareness and customer engagement in addition to supporting events & awareness campaigns. Primarily in this business development role, you will be working directly with HOA’s, local Chambers of Commerce, property managers, and other local leaders to drive FiberFirst’s internet connectivity business within the community by helping source and manage local events to boost brand awareness and generate leads. The Brand Specialist will also support social media and other marketing needs.

Compensation:

  • Range: $45,000-$50,000

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Execute local events to promote our products and services and engage with potential customers.
  • Act as the face of the brand at community events, HOA meetings, and town halls, representing the company with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Host apartment/condo (MDU) and HOA table events to build relationships and increase customer acquisition within communities.
  • Provide bulk property (apartment/condo/HOA) support, including marketing efforts and coordination with property managers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations to foster brand loyalty and create partnership opportunities.
  • Distribute door hangers, install and maintain cabinet signs, yard signs, and other marketing materials to directly reach potential customers and enhance brand visibility.
  • Participate in a street team focused on generating social media content, videos, and customer testimonials to amplify brand messaging.
  • Gather and report customer feedback to the marketing and product teams for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to drive conversions and meet targeted sales goals.
  • Manage set-up and tear-down of event booths/tables, ensuring a polished and organized appearance.
  • Monitor and track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and promotional activities, documenting all related marketing and sales activities, tracking expenses, and maintaining accurate records to provide insights for future strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitors, sharing insights with the team to enhance our market positioning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including potential learning opportunities in various areas of marketing and communication to broaden your skill set and contribute to overall team success.

Education and / or Experience:

  • High School diploma required; some college preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, events, or community-building roles (Telecommunications experience is a plus)

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required to attend events and meet community needs
  • A genuine enthusiasm for interacting with customers and communities, driving brand loyalty through positive and memorable experiences
  • A willingness to be hands-on, actively engaging with the community
  • Naturally collaborative with a demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams to effectively engage with all levels of leadership and the broader community
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments at one time, determine priorities and complete assignments accurately and on time
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excelling in conveying ideas concisely and clearly
  • Highly organized with excellent time-management skills
  • Adaptable to learning and taking on new challenges, contributing to a dynamic and evolving team environment
  • Passion for technology
  • You have a driver’s license with clean record and access to a vehicle

  • Travel: Will require to spend approximately 70% of time in the field and travel within Central Texas markets (Killeen and Georgetown). No additional out-of-market travel required.

  • Work Environment: The work environment is fast paced, and the employee may be exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions. Events could be inside or outside, with extensive time walking and standing to engage with potential customers.
