Edison Zapata, PhD, currently serves as the Regional Development Manager for Europe at FHC, Inc. since August 2021, focusing on neuroscience and neurosurgery, including neuronal recording and neuromodulation. Previously, Edison Zapata worked as a Research Engineer at GO Concept from 2019 to 2020, specializing in the development of lightweight composite structures through finite element modeling and project management. Prior roles include Simulation Engineer at Dorel Juvenile, where Edison Zapata contributed to car seat safety compliance (2016-2018), and Research Engineer during a PhD in Biomechanics at INSERM, IFSTTAR (2012-2015), exploring bone strength under fall conditions. Additional experience includes roles at Ifsttar and the Centre de Recherche Public Henri Tudor, where Edison Zapata engaged in finite element modeling and injury risk assessment. Edison Zapata holds a PhD in Biomechanics from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, a Master's degree from Ecole nationale d'Ingénieurs de Metz, and a Bioengineering degree from Universidad de Antioquia.
