Christopher Washington has a diverse work history, starting with their role as a Strategic Sales Planning Intern at Mattel, Inc. in 2007. Christopher used market research and data analysis to identify growth opportunities and implemented marketing programs at Sears/Kmart stores.
In 2008, Washington joined Nestlé as a Retail Sales Representative, where they merchandized Wal-Mart stores and achieved various goals such as speed to shelf and modular compliance. Christopher utilized selling tools and data analysis to secure incremental displays.
From 2010 to 2013, Washington held multiple roles at Nestlé, including Category Leadership Analyst and Customer Development Account Manager. In these positions, they provided analytical support to drive sales and growth for Nestlé Frozen Pizza and Nestlé Pizza brands at Safeway and C&S California, respectively.
In 2013, Washington became a Category and Shopper Development Manager at Nestlé, leading cross-functional teams in developing growth strategies for the Nestlé Confections portfolio within the Grocery class of trade. Christopher also served as a Key Account Manager, managing the relationship with Kroger's category management team to improve assortment, pricing, and promotion for Nestlé Confections brands.
In 2017, Washington joined RB as a National Account Manager, where they had full P&L responsibility for Lysol & Airwick brands at Kroger. Christopher developed 4P plans, executed annual Shopper Marketing strategies, and drove distribution growth and demand generating programming.
From 2018 to 2021, Washington worked at "\"I and love and you\" pet care" as the Director of Sales - Central. Christopher was responsible for all business development activities in the Central US, managing relationships with key customers such as Kroger, Meijer, Target, and more to achieve sales and distribution targets.
In 2021, Washington joined AppHarvest as the National Sales Director. Christopher led national sales efforts for the agtech company, focusing on expanding the fresh SKU portfolio, managing distributor relationships, and owning the full sales cycle for foodservice partnerships. Christopher also developed a route to market for the launch of the company's retail product portfolio in 2022.
Most recently, Washington has taken on the role of Sr. Director of Business Development at Fetch starting in 2022. Additional information about this role is not provided.
Christopher Washington attended the University of Southern California from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. In 2004, they also attended Mester Language School to study Spanish Language and Culture, although they did not receive a degree from this institution. Additionally, Christopher has obtained certifications such as the ValueSelling Framework Certified from ValueSelling Associates, Inc. in October 2021 and the Alumni: The Complete Skilled Negotiator from The Gap Partnership in April 2015.
