Kareem El-Sadi has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Kareem is currently working as a Senior Drilling Engineer at Fervo Energy. Prior to this, Kareem worked at Shell for several years, with their most recent role being a Lead Engineer. In this role, they supported the multi-billion Whale campaign and successfully delivered a $35MM Capex reduction through design improvements and operations efficiencies. Kareem also implemented MPD (ABP) technology to drive efficiencies and mitigate project risks. Before becoming a Lead Engineer, Kareem served as a Staff Well Engineer at Shell, where they provided deep technical support for Global Wells of Significance and developed various recommended practices. Kareem also has experience working as a Workover Supervisor at Petroleum Development Oman, a Drilling Engineer at Shell Oil Company, and an Intern at Pioneer Green Energy, LLC. Kareem started their career as a Mechatronics Grader and Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Texas at Austin.
Kareem El-Sadi has a diverse education history in the field of engineering and computer science. Kareem obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from Rice University from the year 2022 to 2023. Prior to that, they completed their Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin from 2016 to 2017. Kareem also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Kareem started their undergraduate education at The University of Texas at Arlington, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from 2008 to 2010.
