Jeremy Thompson's work experience is as follows:

- Adjunct Professor at The University of Adelaide since May 2021.

- Chief Scientific Officer at Fertilis since November 2019. Fertilis specializes in improving outcomes for IVF patients through automated procedures in the IVF laboratory.

- Founder of ART Lab Solutions since January 2018. ART Lab Solutions provides reproductive technology tools for genetic improvement in livestock, primarily cattle.

- Professor at the University of Adelaide from September 1999 to April 2021.

- Research Scientist at AgResearch from 1986 to 1999.

- Visiting Researcher at the University of York in 1994.

- Research Fellow at Murdoch University from 1985 to 1986.

Jeremy Thompson completed their Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Anatomy & Histology from the University of Adelaide, from 1977 to 1981. Jeremy then pursued a Ph.D. in Veterinary Anatomy from The University of Queensland, which they completed from 1981 to 1985.
