Erik Hasse is a seasoned machine learning engineer with extensive experience in data science and analytics. Currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Fermata Energy since August 2022, Erik previously held the position of Lead ML Engineer/Data Scientist at Lowe's Companies, Inc., where responsibilities included developing scalable Python packages and creating a platform for forecasting and anomaly detection. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Freddie Mac, focusing on data quality and statistical model development, and working as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa, supporting students in mathematics courses. Erik Hasse holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Iowa, along with a Master’s degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
