Michael Walls is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in energy, real estate, and land acquisition. Currently serving as Counsel for Cypress Creek Renewables since March 2023 and a Planning Commissioner for the City of Fergus Falls since January 2023, Michael previously held the position of Senior Associate at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. from February 2022 to February 2023. Michael's career includes roles in contract procurement and real estate at Otter Tail Power Company and litigation at Krekelberg Law Firm. An early career highlighted involvement as a law clerk and judicial intern while gaining valuable experience as a Promise Fellow with AmeriCorps. Michael earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with an emphasis in Ecology from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
