Kimberly Mahnken has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of architecture. Kimberly has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in technical design, architecture, and management.
Starting in 1995, Mahnken worked at CLC Associates, Inc as the Vice President. Kimberly'sresponsibilities included managing retail and commercial projects, collaborating with clients and team members, and ensuring the approval of designs and documents.
In 2009, Mahnken joined AKM Engineering as the Principal Architect. Kimberly led the architectural team, specializing in forensic investigations, expert witness services, and design. Kimberly'swork involved conducting assessments of existing structures, conducting research on building systems, and developing repair recommendations.
Since 2012, Mahnken has been a part of Fentress Architects. Kimberly initially joined as an Associate Principal and later became the Technical Design Director and Associate Principal. Kimberly'srole includes overseeing technical design and leading projects.
Kimberly Mahnken, AIA, NCARB, CDT, WELL AP, graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Kansas State University, where they studied from 1989 to 1994. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications. In 2018, they earned the CDT (Construction Documents Technologist) certification from the Construction Specifications Institute. More recently, in January 2021, they obtained the WELL AP (Accredited Professional) certification from the International WELL Building Institute. It is not specified when they obtained their NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) certification.
