Francisco Canales Mateo is a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer with extensive experience in civil engineering, currently employed at Fennovoima since January 2018. Previously, Francisco held the position of Senior Civil Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company from July 2009 to July 2017, where responsibilities included leading civil and software engineering functions and developing feasibility assessments. Prior to this, Francisco worked as a Civil Engineer at Tecnicas Reunidas from January 2008 to June 2009, managing design teams for the Granadilla Combined Cycle Plant project and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Earlier experience includes roles at Innovalevante SL, Ayuntamiento de Lorcha, and Elecdey, starting from internship positions to project engineering, focusing on hydraulic projects and feasibility studies. Francisco earned a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universitat d'Alacant in 2005.
