Yuki Yuminaga has been working in the field since 2017, when they began as a Research Assistant/ co-investigator at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2018, they were a Founding Member of Hotel UCA. In 2019, they were a Co-Founder of Byto, and also began a Quantitative Biology Research Fellowship at the University of Chicago, where they implemented algorithms for unsupervised clustering models, developed and implemented SIR simulations for the HIV community, and did numerous visualizations of large-scale data. In 2020, they were a Builder at a Stealth Startup. Currently, they are an Investment at Fenbushi Capital.

Yuki Yuminaga received a BS in Computer Science with Machine Learning specialization and a Minor in Chemistry from the University of Chicago. Prior to that, Yuki attended Auckland Grammar School.
