Dr. Schrimpf received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 1986. He is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Director of the Institute for Space and Defense Electronics, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN. He served as a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona from 1986 to 1996. Dr. Schrimpf is Past Chairman of the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society Radiation Effects Steering Group.
