Mr. Magnus Ryde is Partner and Principal of Ryde Invest AB of Sweden, Quan VC and Mars Capital Group LLC in the United States. He was an Investment Professional of Quan Management LLC. He joined Quan Ventures as an Advisor in 2003. His areas of investment focus are semiconductors and equipment, displays, and enabling materials. He served as Chief Executive Officer of DayStar Technologies, Inc. from February 15, 2010 to February 28, 2011. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Intematix Corporation. He served as the Chief Executive Officer at FlexICs Inc. until 2004 and was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's American subsidiary in charge of the North American market. Before that, he spent over 18 years at KLA-Tencor in San Jose, where he held several managerial positions. He joined KLA Instruments (now KLA-Tencor) after graduation as Production Control Manager. Mr. Ryde holds an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from University of Sweden, and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering in 1980 and an Executive M.B.A. from Stanford University in 1995.
