Sam Hashemi has had a varied and successful career in the tech industry. In 2021, they became the CEO and Co-founder of Felt, a company that creates and shares maps online. From 2014 to 2021, they were the Board, CEO and Co-founder of Remix, a platform for bringing together public transit, street infrastructure, and shared mobility. In 2014, they were a Fellow at Code for America, where they designed and built an SMS system to keep people informed about their court case. From 2011 to 2010, they were a Product Lead at NASA, where they led a project to replace the 1990s era tools aboard the International Space Station with modern iPad and iPhone apps. In 2010, they were a Designer and Researcher at webOS, and in 2009, they were a Designer and Researcher at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
Sam Hashemi has a Master and Bachelors degree from Carnegie Mellon University in the fields of Human-Computer Interaction and Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science respectively.
