Jim Shapiro is an experienced professional in product engineering and operations management. Currently serving as the Director of Product Engineering and Quality Assurance at Feit Electric since June 2009, Jim leads the Quality Assurance team and travels to China bi-monthly to collaborate with suppliers. Prior experience includes the role of VP Operations at DSA Phototech, where responsibilities included improving product margins and customer lead-times, and a tenure as Plant Manager/General Manager at Jensen Industries, focusing on cost and quality control. Jim also held the position of VP Operations and Engineering at Troy Lighting, contributing to product development cycles. Jim holds a degree from Pitzer College, completed between 1979 and 1982.
