Philip Garland is currently a board member at Feel Good Voting, and was previously the Vice President of Data Science at FanWide from September 2017 to August 2021. Prior to that, they were a visiting scholar at the University of Washington from July 2015 to December 2018. Garland also served as the CEO/Co-founder of Gridz, Inc from October 2013 to August 2016, and the Vice President of Methodology at SurveyMonkey from October 2009 to October 2013. Philip began their career as a director at Survey Sampling International, where they quickly rose through the ranks to become the Chief Methodologist. Philip Garland is an expert in data science and methodology, with over 15 years of experience in the field. Philip has a passion for using their skills to help others and make a difference in the world.
Philip Garland earned a B.A. in Communication/Political Science from the University of Washington before getting their M.A. in Communication from the same school. Philip then got their M.A. in Political Science from Stanford University before earning their Ph.D. in Communication from Stanford as well.
