Crystal Shamblee is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in higher education and program management. Currently a Senior Associate at FedTech, Crystal leads intrapreneurship programs that enhance the commercialization of research within government labs and organizations, while also teaching design principles to clients and internal teams. Prior to this role, Crystal served as Associate Dean for Open Studies at the Maryland Institute College of Art, where responsibilities included managing academic programs and directing graduate programs in design leadership and UX design. Additional experience includes roles as Continuing Education Instructor at Moore College of Art & Design, Director at The Art Institute of Philadelphia overseeing design and fashion programs, and Youth Artist Workshop Instructor at Moore College, engaging K-12 students in design education. Crystal holds a Bachelor of Science in Textiles & Apparel Management from North Carolina State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
