Eric Smith has extensive experience in software development, packaging, and technical consulting, with a focus on embedded systems and network technology. Since 2010, Eric has contributed as a Packager and Package Maintainer for the Fedora Project, handling numerous software packages for Fedora Linux and EPEL. Eric Smith LLC has been the platform for software development efforts since 2008, specializing in languages such as C, C++, Objective C, Java, and assembly for various platforms. Previous roles include work as a Technical Lead at Cisco Systems, Staff Applications Engineer at Ubicom, and Software Engineer across several companies, including ReplayTV and Pluris, where Eric was responsible for developing critical software components and drivers for high-performance networking equipment. Volunteer efforts include restorations at the Computer History Museum, specifically with iconic systems like the IBM 1620 and DEC PDP-1. Eric holds an Associate of Arts in Mathematics and an Associate of Science in Physical Sciences.
