Thiago Aragao is an Associate Professor at COPPE, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, where tenure began in September 2011, after previously serving as an Assistant Professor in the same institution. Thiago holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universidade Federal do Ceará (2004), a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a minor in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2007), and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a minor in Engineering Mechanics from the same institution (2011). Prior experience includes roles as a post-doctoral researcher and Ph.D. student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering between 2007 and 2011, as well as positions as a Master's student and undergraduate researcher at Universidade Federal do Ceará.
