Sean Cassidy is a seasoned UX professional currently serving as the UX Research Team Lead at Federal Student Aid, part of the U.S. Department of Education, since July 2020. In this role, Sean leads public-facing UX research initiatives, manages a team of contractors, and focuses on enhancing the customer experience for millions of students and borrowers. Previously, Sean held various positions at the Federal Reserve Board, including UX Analyst III and II, where responsibilities encompassed user research and design for internal and public-facing applications. Earlier experience includes editorial leadership at The Breeze, web programming for a health policy project at James Madison University, and photography at Christmas City Studio. Sean holds a Master of Science in User Experience Design from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Science in Interactive Design from James Madison University.
