John P. Biestman, CFA, currently serves as a Senior Relationship Manager at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines and is also the Director of Business Development at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle since March 2003. Prior to these roles, John was the Vice President and Corporate Treasurer at Commerce One, Inc. and held positions at Barclays Capital, where John was the Director and Co-Head of Global High Technology Corporate Finance. John's career also includes experience in corporate banking at First Interstate Bank. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and a BA in Political Science and Economics from UCLA.
