Jon Byrd is a seasoned aviation professional with extensive experience in educational and advisory roles within the aviation sector. Currently serving as the State Aviation Advisor for the Technical College System of Georgia since June 2021, Jon Byrd previously held prominent positions at Georgia Northwestern Technical College, including Executive Director of Aviation and Director of Aviation, Instructor, from September 2006 to July 2021. Additionally, Jon Byrd contributed to Middle Georgia Technical College as the Aviation Maintenance Technology Program Chair from May 2001 to September 2006. Jon Byrd's educational background includes ongoing studies towards a B.S. in Professional Aeronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an A.A.S. in Airframe & Powerplant Mechanics from Georgia Military College.
