Aline van Aerschot

Aline Van Aerschot has extensive experience in the field of social work. Aline began their career in 2015 as a Trainee at Enfants & Développement (E&D). In this role, they gained valuable knowledge and skills in the industry.

In 2018, Aline joined Fedasil, where they took on various roles over the years. Aline started as a Social Worker for Unaccompanied Foreign Minors (UAMs), providing support and assistance to young individuals in need. In September 2020, they transitioned to the role of Social Worker for Asylum Seekers, continuing their work in supporting vulnerable populations.

Aline's dedication and expertise led to their most recent position as the Head of the Social and Medical Department at Fedasil, which they assumed in September 2021. In this leadership role, they oversee and manages the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality social and medical services to those in need.

Aline Van Aerschot obtained a Master's degree in Political Sciences with a specialization in International Relations from the Université catholique de Louvain. Aline pursued this degree from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the same university, during the period of 2011 to 2014.

In addition to their academic achievements, Aline has also obtained additional certifications. In 2017, they received the Belgian Development Agency Certificate from Enabel. Furthermore, in 2021, they obtained a Legal Guardian certification for unaccompanied foreign minors from FOD Justitie SPF Justice.
