Somayeh Pouyanfard is a highly skilled R&D scientist specializing in the development of off-the-shelf iPSC-derived CAR-T, CAR-NK, and CAR-Macrophage cell therapeutics. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist and Team Lead at Fate Therapeutics Inc since 2022, Somayeh also holds a Senior Scientist position at Wugen since May 2021. Previously, Somayeh was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California San Diego from August 2017 to May 2021, focusing on novel cell therapeutics for cancer and regenerative medicine. Additional experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher role at the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center from September 2014 to July 2017, working on a prophylactic vaccine for cervical cancer, and a Visiting Researcher position at the University of Zurich in 2012-2013, where the focus was on developing delivery platforms for cancer-targeting drugs.
