Daniel Kinnison has a diverse work experience in the field of automation and controls engineering. Daniel started their career at Wisne Automation in 1984 as an Electrician/Supervisor, where they developed software for conveyors, welding equipment, and robotic applications. Daniel also programmed GMF Robots and oversaw electrical wiring and debugging of automation equipment.
From 1986 to 1988, Kinnison worked at Industrial Development Systems, Inc as an Electrical Controls Engineer. Here, they utilized Autocad v.12 for designing electrical and pneumatic systems for various automation equipment, including welding equipment, conveyors, and robotics. Daniel was also responsible for the software integration of PLCs and industrial robot applications in special welding equipment.
In 1990, Kinnison joined Ingersoll-Rand Company as a Senior Controls Engineer. Daniel'sresponsibilities included setting up, training, and maintaining software support for Autocad and Promis-e. Daniel designed electrical and pneumatic systems using Autocad R13 and Promis-e, wrote programs for PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Modicon), SteepleChase MMI, and Visual Basic, and oversaw the design of automatic transfer lines and conveyors for engine, transmission, and chassis bodies.
Since 1997, Kinnison has been working at FATA Automation Inc as a Project Controls Engineer. In this role, they are in charge of projects for Electrified Monorail Systems and Skid Conveyors, overseeing control designs from start to completion. Daniel also handles system start-up and debugging at customer sites and provides documentation and training according to customer standards.
Daniel Kinnison has an Associate's Degree in Robotics Technology from Oakland Community College. Daniel also holds a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from Ashwood University. Additionally, Daniel has a Diploma in Electrical Repair from Northeast Oakland Vocational Education Center.
