Jessica Monte possesses extensive experience in the field of plant science and horticulture. Currently serving as the Director of Plant Science at Farmshelf since March 2018, Jessica has previously held positions as Lead Plant Scientist and Plant Scientist in R&D. Additionally, Jessica contributes as an Advisory Board Member for Optimizing Indoor Agriculture -OptimIA since January 2020. A former Research Fellow at the Trust for Governors Island, Jessica has also worked as a Plant Specialist and IPM Technician at Gotham Greens. Prior research roles at Montana State University-Bozeman include serving as a Research Analyst focused on Tissue Culture and Seed Biology, along with a position as a Research Assistant for WSARE Native Bee Conservation. Jessica Monte earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Horticulture Science and a second Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Entomology from Montana State University-Bozeman between 2013 and 2016.
