Senior Associate, Regulatory Operations at Faraday Pharmaceuticals

Serafima Golembo has a long and varied work experience. Serafima began their career in 2006 as a Work/Study Assistant to the Fiscal Officer at Indiana University. In 2007, they began working as a Research Assistant for Dr. Robert Goldstone, and also began working as a Self-employed private tutor. In 2009, they worked as a Research Assistant Volunteer for Dr. Brian F. O'Donnell and as a CANLab Research Assistant for Dr. Karin Harman James. In 2010, they worked as a Literacy Tutor and Sustainability Coordinator for AmeriCorps, and in 2011 they worked as a Teaching Assistant and After School Program Coordinator for Northwest Montessori School. In 2012, they worked as a Site Director and Lead Teacher for Destination Science, and in 2013 they began working at Seattle Infant Development Center as an Operations Manager. In this role, they acted as Executive Director, supported the Board of Directors, and managed 25 teachers while SIDC searched for a new ED from October to December 2013 and November 2015 to February 2016. Serafima instituted operational changes that saw a decrease in administrate time spent on tasks by 20% and an average savings of $6,000 a year by streamlined payroll, A/P and A/R, communication to parents, and website postings. Serafima also chaired the 2015-2018 Spring Social Events, driving fundraising efforts and seeing a 100% increase in donations for 2016 and 50% average increase for the last 3 years. In 2018, they began working at Faraday Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Regulatory Operations Associate and Operations Manager.

Serafima Golembo's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cognitive Science from Indiana University Bloomington, which they obtained in 2008. Serafima also obtained a Minor B.A. in Russian and Eastern European Institute + Russian Language from the same university in 2008. In 2014, they obtained a Certificate in Non-Profit Management in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the University of Washington. In 2021, they obtained a Certificate in Biomedical Regulatory Affairs in Pharmacy Administration and Pharmacy Policy and Regulatory Affairs from the University of Washington. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY and the University of Washington, such as Human Subjects Learners, Human Subjects Learners (Refresher), Non-profit Management, GCP – Social and Behavioral Research Best Practices for Clinical Research, Good Clinical Practice and ICH (GCP).
