Mary Beth Schornak has over 20 years of work experience in accounting and finance. Mary Beth began their career in 1998 as an Account Executive at First Data Corporation, where they sold credit card processing services to retailers, restaurants, hotels and internet accounts throughout Washington State. In 2004, they moved to Global Payments as an Account Executive, where they developed business for credit card processing and check services for medium-large size corporations. In 2007, Mary Beth joined Viral Logic Systems Technology Corporation as an Accountant and Accounts Payable Specialist. Here, they performed all accounting through the company dissolution which involved working with senior management, external auditors, and various third parties. Mary Beth also managed the accurate and timely processing of approximately 300 invoices per month. In 2013, Mary Beth became a Senior Accountant, Contractor at ExtraHop Networks, where they provided accounting backfill duties during the company's software system conversion from QuickBooks to Net Suite. Two years later, in 2014, they joined COM Investments, LLC as a Senior Accountant, where they assembled and distributed monthly the cash liquidity report to principals including sources and uses of cash for the month and cash flow statement. In 2016, Mary Beth became a Controller and Controller, Contractor at Faraday Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Nexgenia, Inc., respectively. At Faraday Pharmaceuticals, Inc., they were responsible for two entity trial balances, with a variety of monthly close journal entries and reconciliation. At Nexgenia, Inc., they oversaw all accounting and tax matters, including AP, fixed assets, GL, payroll, business tax, property tax, and was responsible for closing books monthly and preparing internal financial reports in accordance to GAAP and investor reporting.
Mary Beth Schornak received a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Puget Sound between 1985 and 1989. Mary Beth then obtained a Certification in Accounting from North Seattle College. In 2013, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant Certification from the Washington State Board of Accountancy.
