Eric Shanks, PhD, currently serves as the Academy Leader at Family Service Lincoln since October 2023. Prior to this role, Shanks was an Academic Coach at Instructional Connections, LLC from August 2020 to October 2023, focusing on creating engaging learning environments for higher education. As an Associate in the Nebraska College Preparatory Academy at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from August 2022 to September 2023, Shanks prepared high school students for university. Other positions include Development Associate at the Center for People in Need, Federal Aid Administrator for the State of Nebraska, Head Swim Coach at the Fremont Family YMCA, and various adjunct teaching roles in Political Science and American Government at multiple universities. Shanks holds a PhD in American Politics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
