Laura Brennan joined Family Equality in August 2020 as a Federal Policy intern and now works as a Policy Associate. In her position, she helps to implement Family Equality’s public policy agenda and uplift the voices and stories of LGBTQ+ parents and children. She is passionate about supporting others and most enjoys the relationships and connections she has made along the way.
Aside from her work at Family Equality, Laura is a full-time student pursuing her master’s degree in Public Policy at George Washington University. She is a returned Peace Corps volunteer and spent two years living in Ecuador supporting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Currently, she lives in Washington, D.C. with her adorable pup, Maya.
