Dorcas Austin is a seasoned mental health professional with extensive experience in various roles. Since January 2019, Dorcas has served as a Psychotherapist in Private Practice at Families First Counseling and Psychiatry. Prior to this, Dorcas held the position of Health and Wellness Manager at Erickson Living from 2014 to January 2019, where responsibilities included managing employee wellness initiatives and promoting diversity in wellness programs. From 2004 to 2012, Dorcas worked as a Project Manager at Chicago Public Schools, overseeing federally funded health initiatives for low-income seniors while securing grant funding and coordinating community partnerships. Dorcas holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northwestern University (1996-2000) and furthered education at Harvard University from 2002 to 2004.
