Vainateya Deshpande has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. From 2023 to the present, they have been working as the Director of Strategy and Corporate Development at Fall Creekâ„¢. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2023, they served as the Principal at Pepper Foster Consulting, where they managed a team of consultants and collaborated with C-Suite executives to deliver business transformation results.

Before joining Pepper Foster Consulting, Deshpande worked at Nike as the Director of Strategy, Sustainable Innovation, Global Sourcing, & Manufacturing from 2015 to 2018. In this role, they developed strategies for sustainability and manufacturing automation and created finance structures for power purchase agreements. They also focused on building a strong manufacturing source base for apparel and footwear.

From 2011 to 2015, Deshpande worked at Slalom as a Senior Managing Consultant. They provided senior strategy consulting services to various companies across different industries and mentored junior consultants. Key consulting engagements included working with Nike, Daimler Trucks (Freightliner), Integra, and Standard Insurance.

Prior to Slalom, Deshpande worked at Freddie Mac as the Director of Strategy & Initiative Management - Finance from 2004 to 2011. In this role, they directed cross-organizational change efforts, managed a mortgage portfolio, and designed projects and programs to meet objectives.

Before Freddie Mac, Deshpande worked at Rosenbauer Group as a Project Manager / Marketing and Business Development Manager from 1998 to 2001. They led projects, assisted with business development, and facilitated revenue growth by securing contracts with major airports.

Vainateya Deshpande holds a Master's degree in Finance, Decision Science, and Strategy from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business. They also have a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from the University of Mumbai. In addition, Vainateya has completed the "Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy" certification from MIT Sloan Executive Education and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
