Dr. David Trautenberg currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer for School District 49, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this, Dr. Trautenberg held the Chief Financial Officer role at the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office and the Orleans Parish School Board, where responsibilities included overseeing finance divisions and managing significant budgets. With extensive experience in financial management and educational consulting, Dr. Trautenberg also co-founded AlignK12 Educational Consulting to support school districts in aligning financial and human resources to improve student outcomes. Previous roles include Chief Financial Officer for Aurora Public Schools and Managing Director of Investments at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. Dr. Trautenberg's educational background includes a Doctor of Education from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from Stanford University, and various degrees in philosophy, sociology, curriculum theory, and education.
