Gordon Whitman is an experienced leader in community organizing and public policy, currently serving as the Managing Director for International Organizing at Faith in Action since May 2018, focusing on campaigns for improved living conditions and equity globally. Previously, Gordon held key roles at PICO National Network, including Deputy Director and Director of Public Policy and Communications, where strategic leadership was provided for national campaigns impacting health reform for low-income families. Gordon's early career includes founding the Flint Area Congregations Together in Michigan and serving as Associate Director at Temple University Center for Public Policy. Legal experience encompasses roles at Community Legal Services and the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia, specializing in civil rights and education law. Gordon holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA in History and Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
