Shaila Fernandes-Muralidhar is an experienced educator and leader with a diverse professional background. Currently serving as a STEAM Lab Teacher/IA at Fairfax County Public Schools since June 2021, Shaila is responsible for developing and implementing the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math curriculum for students aged 5-12 at Great Falls Elementary School. Additionally, Shaila holds the position of Public Affairs Officer-Ensign at the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps, where significant improvements in recruitment were achieved through effective online media strategies. As the CEO and Founder of Royal Fern Publishing LLC, Shaila assisted authors through the publishing process for over 15 years. Previous roles also include Executive Director at The Indus Entrepreneurs and Business Development Officer at The World Bank Group's Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency. Shaila's educational background includes multiple degrees in fields such as International Journalism, History, and Finance from prestigious institutions and includes recent completion of a cybersecurity program at Cisco Networking Academy.
