Melissa Denny is an experienced educator and program manager currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at Fairfax County Public Schools since August 2023. Prior to this role, Melissa Denny worked at Merritt Academy from March 2005 to July 2024, where responsibilities included leading the Curriculum Committee, mentoring new teachers, and developing individualized behavior plans. In various positions at Merritt Academy, including Special Programs Coordinator and Director of Special Programs and Summer Camp, Melissa Denny managed budgets and negotiated contracts. Earlier experience at the Patriot Center involved supervising the box office sales team and conducting staff training. Melissa Denny holds a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Scranton and a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from George Mason University.
